1) Install the bearing cap of the Bare Engine and tighten it with standard torque, and install the repaired piston pin at the same time.

2) Put the Isuzu Engine on the horizontal axis of the tester, turn the shaft end adjustment nut to move the centering block on the horizontal axis outward, and fix the connecting rod on the tester.

3) The V-shaped surface of the detector gauge rests on the top of the piston pin, and observe the contact between the three measuring points on the gauge and the plane. If there is a gap between only the upper measuring point and the flat plate, the bending direction and degree of the connecting rod can be found.

If only one lower measuring point is in contact with the flat plate, the twisting direction and amount can be measured based on the other lower measuring point.

In actual work, usually after the Isuzu Engine is repaired, new bearings and piston pins are installed, and the bending and twisting of the connecting rod are checked and corrected, which can eliminate the manufacturing and installation deviations of the Isuzu Engine and affect the parallelism between the upper and lower holes of the connecting rod.
